Modern & Vintage was founded in 2021. Our mission is to bring happiness into everyone’s life by sharing our antiques and fashion products with the world. Our goal is to share our passion for these beautiful and precious items with friends from around the World. We hope our treasures bring joy to our customers and their friends.
I started working when I was 16 years during my summer holidays at local fashion stores where I learnt about European fashion, which was very popular at the time. That was the beginning of my journey in the fashion industry during which time I was able to meet many dealers from Europe and build my contacts. A few years later I changed job and joined a large advertising company in Hong Kong which gave me the opportunity to meet people from many different industries in Hong Kong to discuss their advertising strategies. This company gave me the opportunity to learn a lot while providing me with a good remuneration package and flexible working hours that enabled me to study for 2 degrees while working. .
In 2013, I left my job in Hong Kong and moved to Canada. Ever since I have been helping my husband handle his families’ antiques and sourcing fashion products during my trips to Europe. My husband was too busy with his work, so he let me handle all the antique products. At the time, I just thought they were beautiful and precious objects, but I didn’t understand the history or the stories that came with each piece. I spent a considerable amount of time and effort looking around for help until I met a Jewish antique expert by chance. Through his selfless dedication, he passed me a lot of his antique knowledge, and through his introduction, I met many antique collectors. At the same time I was able to get in touch with my old contact in Europe during my trips to find and introduce the best that Europe has to offer to everyone.
With his support, and his encouragement, I started Modern & Vintage in 2021 specializing in European vintage products and high end fashion products
Our antique products are all first-hand antiques, all of which are sourced and hand checked by him and me to ensure authenticity. Our Fashion products are all made of high quality materials and sourced from all around Europe to meet your needs
Recently through our collaboration with our European counterparts we also provide Vintage replica antique products, which are produced using traditional handcrafting production methods by professional senior crystal craftsmen.
We endeavor to continue to do our utmost to bring a little bit of happiness into everyone’s life with through our products.
